Harold Hutchinson has 35 years experience in the academic and banking industries. He has held academic
roles at Hertford College, University of Oxford, and at the Universities of Exeter and St. Andrews. He has
also worked in a set of international Investment Banks, most recently at Investec, where he remains a Senior
Advisor. He is a Non-Executive Director at Electricity North West, a part of the Iberdrola group, and is a
Trustee of the Regulatory Policy Institute, Oxford.
Harold has advised corporate clients and institutional investors across the globe on energy infrastructure
and renewables issues, both in the private and listed spaces. He gives occasional lectures on issues in
politics, philosophy and economics, and is a published author. He is a regular blogger and writer on energy
transition and natural capital issues. Born in Belfast, he now spends most of his time in the UK, Ireland,
and Spain.
